Dad's Always a Star!

My dad has been gone for many years. He died when I was just 21 - two years after my mother passed away. I like to think he just didn't want to go on without her. Anyway, I get to make Father's Day cards for my kids to give to their dad and for my Father-in-Law. At any holiday, all the challenges come out! So here's my latest father's day card - I would have given it to my father had he still been alive, because he was always a star to me!

Having gotten the sentimental stuff out, here's the challenges!
  • The sketch is from the Sweet Stop.
  • Corrosive asked for a Father's Day Card.
  • Flourishes Timeless Tuesday asked for Patterned Paper.
  • Secret Crafter asked for bling - there's a rhinestone on each star point as well as around the lower sentiment. Of course, I also have my Doodlebug Sugar Coated brads - which are kind of blingy too!
  • Belli asked for Father's Day using this Sweet Stop Sketch!
  • This one is kind of funny - CuttleBug Challenge asked for a card inspired by your favorite movie. One of my favorites happens to be Father of the Bride with Steve Martin & Kim Williams. I was originally going to do something bridal, but....
  • PaperPlay asked for any twist. I am thinking a bow and rhinestones on a Father's Day card is pretty much a twist!
And that's it for this one!! I like it!

Vickilyn, first of all, I love your name. My step daughter's name is Victorialynn, all one name like yours. Too cool. I love your card and think I am going to be doing a little scraplifting from you. Super easy, but super awesome too!! Thank you for sharing your sentimental stuff with us. That is what your blogging friends are for. Thanks for playing along with us this week at Corrosive Creations. Hugs, Leslie
