More 3-D...

In case you hadn't noticed - I really enjoy creating 3-D items. So on top of Project Tuesday - which I do every week (even before I was part of the Design Team) I do make my share of 3-D items. Here's what I have for you today!

This is an "altered" CD case. I made it into a gift card holder - as you will see from the inside. I love the bright colors and made it so it would fit just about any occasion.

I am sure that I don't have to tell you by now that there are challenges involved:

  • Sketch - This sketch was actually used in two places this week - 2RedBananas and CPS. I am thinking I am slightly off, but....it was a space thing!
  • Caardvarks asked for 3-D. I am thinking this qualifies as 3-D.
  • Our Creative Corner asked for border punches.
  • PaperPlay asked for a twist. I am thinking making a gift card holder out of a CD case is kind of a twist, right?

Anyway, that's it for tonight - I am definitely getting to bed early! Thanks for looking!

In the Limelight...

is this card!!! (that's one of the perks of doing the Limelight challenges - it's a great segue!)

Onto the nitty gritty....
  • Obviously, there's a Limelight challenge going on here. In this particular case, they provided the sketch and also requested you use rhinestones. (All those little dots on the card are rhinestones - might need to see if I can get a better photo!)
  • 2 Red Bananas asked for 3 different patterned papers - there are actually four here.
  • CCEE Stampers asked for flowers
  • Creative Inspirations asked for four different patterned papers - which there are.
  • Paper Blooms asked for three flowers
  • A Spoon Full of Sugar asked for a butterfly.
  • Flutterby Wednesday this week said - butterfly and sketch - any sketch
  • Daring Cardmakers gave me my color combo of orange, red and yellow.
  • The SCS current Ways To Use It challenge is crinkled cardstock. Now I have been making these flowers since I saw the Prima lollipops come out, so I knew this challenge would be great for me!
  • And somebody out there asked for hand made flowers, but I can't remember who - as soon as I do, I will edit! LOL These were created by punching circles (all were punched from the two sizes of Creative Memories circle punches), wet, crumpled and put together - the brad actually holds them together.
And that sure is plenty enough for this one little card to handle!!! I have also completed today's 365 Challenge of Grass Inspiration - however, it's out in the shed, so the post will just have to wait until tomorrow! (actually, later today.....)

Hot Air Balloons

Is everybody out there taking the PILE IT ON CHALLENGE? And if you don't know what I am talking about you - see the post below or follow the link!

Onto the card - I am SERIOUSLY in love with this card, so if you don't like it, please don't burst my balloon (no pun intended!)

These are the challenges this card covers:
  • Believe it or not - this is this week's CPS sketch. It's a little "loosely" interpreted and flipped upside down!
  • 2 Red Bananas asked for at least three patterned papers, and this one has 6!
  • Use It - a new one for me - had this recipe - scraps, bling, die cuts, with a bonus of 4 patterned papers. All scraps (even the base - they are defining scraps as - no 12x12 papers can be harmed in the making of this card), die cuts - used my nestibilities for the sentiment box, again, I used 6 patterned papers and the bling - which you can't see in the photo, but I assure you is there - all the lines on the balloons and the trees are sparkly from my stardust pen - I think that's bling, don't you? (And I'd like to thank Rose for introducing me to this new challenge blog!)
  • Colour Create asked for as many colors of the rainbow as possible - okay, I have blue, green, orange, purple, red, and yellow! I am definitely good on this one!!
And that's about all for this one!! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to go check out PILE IT ON!!

***ETA*** This stamps set is from Verve and is called Up, Up & Away! And yes, that would be considered an enabler alert (Lesley!)

Limelight +

I was VERY busy tonight!! I made four cards! Most of them are for Limelight's Anniversary Celebration - so if you haven't been there - head on over!! Mandy has a bunch of fun stuff going on!!

Needless to say, I have hit a bunch of challenges with these cards - it's becoming my signature - so all the details are below each card!

This first one started as being a color challenge, but I think I missed it. Here's the info:
  • Fun Frilled asked for a Teacher Card. I am thinking A+ and Thanks is perfect for any teacher.
  • The layout was the Sunday Sketch over at 365 Cards this past week.
  • 2RedBananas asked for ribbons
  • The color challenge I was trying to hit with this was Color Chef - who requested Red, Black, Yellow and White. I think the other two colors throw it off too much to count, but keep scrolling down and you will see that I did indeed complete this challenge!

This is the first card I made tonight.

Here's the color challenge that I did make!

Now this one is totally off my normal.
  • Cupcake Craft asked for Fairies. Now - this cute little fairy is a digital stamp from Pollycraft! I purchased three of their images today and this is the first one I used. She's just SOOOO cute!
  • Scrappy Frogs also asked for Fairies this week.
  • The Cuttlebug Spot asked us to color our images! Now - if you come here on any kind of regular basis - you know that I don't really stamp - or color anyway! But I suppose this proves that I can!
  • I used the sketch from Sweet Sunday.
  • This card will also be a second card for me over at Daring Cardmakers. They requested Take 5! Five of "something" on your project. On this card - I have 5 sugarcoated Doodlebug brads!! (They're my favorite!!)
  • Stamp Simply asked for flowers - of course there are several cards here that have flowers, so I guess I am really good on that one!
That is all for tonight! I am definitely thinking it's enough!

One more thing! I assume all of you have noticed the LARGE BLINKING ICE CREAM CONE at the top of my blog?!!?!?! There's going to be a new challenge blog come Sunday - PILE IT ON!! Be sure to check it out!!!

GUEST DESIGNER - OUR CREATIVE CORNER

I am just THRILLED to be today's Guest Designer for Our Creative Corner. They have a beautiful sketch today, so you should definitely check it out!! Our Creative Corner is one of the challenges I do regularly - and I got to do it early this week! Jennifer Meyer is such a delight to work with!

I know you're not here to hear me ramble, so here's the card:

The flowers and leaves are made from a QuicKutz die - and the flower being two separate pieces made is really easy for me to coat the outer flower in Diamond Dust. (at least I think that's what it's called). I made a card earlier this week that is a great match to this one. You can see that card on THIS POST. Since this card is obviously a match to the first, it also hits the same challenges as that one, so you might see it linked on any of those other blogs too! It also hits the Stamp Simply challenge this week - Spring Has Sprung.

Thanks for stopping by! There'll definitely be more to see this week so be sure to come visit again. And be sure to stop by the Project Tuesday blog - they have a great accordian card for this week's project and next week's is right around the corner!

Color Throwdown meets Mojo Monday!

I have a pretty card to show you today! It's for several challenges - the flower is QuicKutz. The glitter on the flowers edges is called Diamond Dust. I little bit on the chunky side.

Here are the challenges:

That will wrap it up for this one. I will tell you however that I have another card that matches this one, but I just can't show it to you yet!!

Happy Bird-Day!

I just noticed that this card is the perfect match to my blog!! (as is the bird on it!) No wonder I had to buy this All That Scraps C.C. Designs Stamp set as soon as I saw it!!

And of course, you know there are challenges involved!

So, be sure to check out these challenges for yourself - as well as Project Tuesday and ScrapSchemes, as I am now a Proud Design Team Member for both of those challenge blogs!! (see the post below!)

Six challenges - two cards!

The good news is - I was not creating my Mother's Day cards this morning. More good news - at least I know I would have had time to do so, because I did make four cards this morning. One I can't show you, the second is in the post below and there are two here for your viewing pleasure!!

The first one is a challenge for Color Create - blue and green. The second challenge is for The Pink Elephant - they asked for blue, green & White. I have actually been using this combo a lot lately so it was a breeze!! The third challenge this card is for would be the Sweet Sunday Sketch (#17) over at Karen's blog. I found her a few weeks ago when I made THIS card. I am glad I was able to participate again this week.

The second card is also for three challenges (I know you're surprised that I would combine challenges! LOL) It is for the 365 Sunday Sketch and it is for Caardvarks "Don't Quote Me" challenge. The stamp is Unity - from one of their KOTMs. I don't recall which one though. I really LOVE this card - I am just not sure why. The third challenge this is 2 Red Bananas - Glitter Me Silly! The patterned paper and the scalloped piece are both "glittered".

Those papers are nice and sparkly!! They're from a mat stack by DCWV that I picked up yesterday for $4.97 on clearance!! So if you live near a Michael's - they have some good stuff on sale! It is definitely a CAS card. Just a few rhinestones to dress it up!

And that's it for this post! Since it's Mother's Day - I would love to wish all my Mom Readers out there a Happy Mother's Day! Also, don't for get my BLOG CANDY - there's more than one way to win, so check it out!

Easter Favors

Two different challenge blogs asked for Easter themed items this week. Our Creative Corner and the Pink Elephant Challenge blog - which is a new find for me. Besides that, the 2RedBananas blog asked for "anything but a card"! I love it when I can combine my challenges!!

So you might remember the birthday favor I made 2-3 posts ago. This is bascially the same favor, but I didn't cut the edges into streamers. I did, however, add these really cute tags!

The bunnies are from Paperbilities. I really love that company - they have the cutest embellishment and have many with a lot of texture to them. The Easter Wishes sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink. It's from the original Mixed Messages set. The tulip stamp is from CTMH. It's from their March Word Puzzle set. I love the Word Puzzles sets! If you don't have them or haven't seen them - I would definitely look into them! They have great phrase and image stamps that are seasonal for that month! The Happy Easter on the third tag is actually from the same set! All the papers are from a DCWV 6x6 paper pad.

Well, guess that's all for now. I won't show you more of these, although I will be making more. As always, thanks for visiting. I will be having some BLOG CANDY soon! I missed my One Year Blogoversary and if you'll notice my counter, I am over the 9,000 mark...so I might be giving away 10,000 person blog candy! So watch to be that 10,000th person, and I will be doing an official blog candy post soon!
