Storybook Anybody??

Yes - with MOSD products you can make your own storybook! Well, that and in this case, a little help from my friends in the digital world! I will tell you it was VERY EASY.

I used Lorie Davison's A VERY BUSY DAY CHILDREN'S BOOK kit. This is a story written by Stephanie Ralla Salanova and uses Lorie's Digital Graphics. It's actually a kit of Quick Pages. This really means that 90% of the work is done for you! The words are separate...you add the words and your photos to the pages and you have a customized, personalized story book that your child will treasure for a LONG time!

So here we go...

I have used the MOSD 8x8 Acrylic Covers and Chipboard Pages. This will give the book both protection and stability. I joined the pages and covers with "C" Rings (which can be found at your local office supply store) and decorated with ribbons.

These are a few of the pages you will be able to create using this kit - again, they are Quick Pages. Just drag the words (which are also available in a French version) onto your page and add your own photos!

I did, however, create my own back cover using Lorie's DON'T EAT THE WORMS preview kit. I believe this was a freebie on the Scrapbook Graphics Studio Matters blog. Because I didn't use the title page included in the kit - my back cover would have been blank chipboard. So instead, I created a back cover using Don't Eat the Worms and personalized it for my son with the all the credits as well as a dedication at the bottom.

I hope you enjoy these story books and make one of your own! Obviously you can grab a kit like I did, or you can scrap it with paper in your own way, with your own story! Or even tell your child THEIR story - whatever it may be.

Again, I used the 8x8 Coverset and chipboard pages, however, I also printed out several of these pages at 6x6 in size and they were still easy to read - so if you prefer a 6x6 version, MOSD does also offer you the 6x6 option. If you are not doing it with a premade digital kit like I did, any size MOSD album would work to tell your child a story!

Need to get organized?

Hi everybody! I am here today with a relatively simple project, but to me - ULTRA IMPORTANT!

I have recently dipped far into the digital side of scrapbooking - and I am loving it! However, I am on several teams and there's a lot of stuff to keep track of, so I needed a way to keep track of it all and obviously I wanted to make sure it was going to be sturdy. MOSD to the rescue!!

Ain't it cute?!?! This uses the MOSD CLEARLY DESIGNED SHOW OFF Album! There are actually four pages included, so you can use this album in accordian style or truly as a four page mini album. I, however, only used two pages and used them as a coverset for my CT book!

I used the MOSD Spiral rings in order to bind my book together and they are great!! They are plastic, but like a keychain ring, so it makes it very easy to add or remove pages!

These are my organizational pages - you happen to be looking at a blank one - I also have them customized by team, depending on the team's requirements.

Think of all the uses for this little album! Again, I only used two pages, so I could very easily make two books - my CT book and then perhaps a recipe book, a prayer book, and address book...the possibilities are endless!

I also believe this is the perfect size for Index Cards! How easy would that be?? My daughter has a teacher who requires index cards for their notes/studying!

The inside cover was decorating using a digital kit, as were the pages. The little robots - I Love You a Bot kit belongs to Nikki Boudreau and the pages belong to JM Designs pm kit.

Again, it's a simple project - but very useful and it hasn't left me since I created it!! I carry it with me everywhere and actually needed to make some notes so I jotted it down on the back of one of the cards - tells me I need to add extra note pages!

I hope you like this little project and if it does nothing more than inspire to you create one of your own - my job here is done!!

Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs

I am excited to bring you today's project! It happens to be my first project for Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs (MOSD). MOSD is a manufacturer of chipboard and acrylic products, as well as several others which I will be showing to you in the coming months! I am thrilled to be part of their Creative Team.

This first project is a frame - and it's "paper work" is digital!! I love that I can combine both sides of my hobby. I love the end result of this project - as did my daughter, who promptly stole it!!

This uses the MOSD Perfect Shaped Chipboard - which comes in MANY different shapes. This is considered a half moon shape. I used a template from BW Scrapbooking- who work hand in hand with MOSD for their shape templates - and it worked perfectly!!

I used a kit called Kiss & Tell from mgl Scraps. It has the most vibrant jewel toned colors I have seen! TOTALLY GORGEOUS!! I will tell you that her kits are definitely worth their price tag! She gives you more elements, papers, etc than I have seen in most kits! LOVE THEM! I feel very honored to be able to be working with her and her creative team!

Be sure to come back tomorrow - new releases from Geeky Diva & Ziggle as well as my challenge for The Shoe!!
