On Opposite Ends of the Spectrum...

are these two cards!! I tell you, these two card were made one after another, probably within about 45 minutes! I don't think I have ever made two such totally different cards that close together!!

Here they are:

I love this little frog sticker and that sentiment says "you're toadally amazing". It's from All That Scraps - love that store! Here's what this card is for:

The next card is so feminine!

See what I mean?? I can't believe they both came from my brain in less than an hour! I didn't think I could switch gears that fast! LOL Anyway - this card is for the following:

  • 365 - Today they asked for a Handwritten Sentiment
  • Color Throwdown asked for - turquoise, black and yellow (Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron and Basic Black) but I play with what I have - and they like it! They want you to play and if you don't have the SU colors - that's okay! Just play!
  • Paper Blooms - which is how this card got it's feminity I suppose you could say, asked for ribbom, lace or trim to be the focal point. I am thinking that mission was definitely accomplished!

And that's what I have for you for now....don't forget the blog candy in THIS POST!

Genie Bag - Project Tuesday

Okay - I lied - sue me! I said I wouldn't be back tonight, but here I am! LOL

All of a sudden I was hit with an idea, so I had to go with it!! Here's my Project Tuesday Genie Bag. I had actually seen the tutorial for this before, but hadn't actually made one. I love how it came out!!

This is the front of the bag and actually follows AmyR's Friday Sketch #66. I loved this sketch and knew I wanted to try it, why not on the genie bag! You know me - I love to combine challenges!

Now in the tutorial, it was specific about decorating the back, so here it is!! That little owl has his eyes closed and looks like he was sleeping. I was going to use him on the front, but because of his dark color, he didn't show well against the chocolate brown circles, but on the back - where it was just him - I was able to put him on the lighter craft circle.

The sentiment is Kim Hughes, the paper KI Memories (it has a beautiful shimmer to it that the photos just don't pick up) and the buttons are from the stash. I didn't over-do on the embellishments for this one because based on the colors, etc., I am thinking it would be perfect for a guy - and we all know how hard the guy projects are.

I am loving Project Tuesday - if you visit my blog often enough you know 3-D items are a favorite of mine, so Project Tuesday has very quickly become a favorite of mine!

Okay - that is definitely it for tonight!

AmyR - Sketch #64

I'm back again!! Love the MOJO!!!

Anyway - here is my take on AmyR's Sketch #64. Sort of....I flipped the sketch and moved the ribbon...although the bow is kind of in the same place, it's not really. But the sketch is definitely what INSPIRED the card, so I went with it.

The stamps are Kim Hughes - Cornish Heritage Farms. Papers are We R Memory Keepers; cardstock is Bazzill. Brads are CTMH. Simply colored with my SU markers - I am not a Copic girl - and the ribbon came from the dollar bin at Michael's. Flowers were simply in the stash. I think that's the whole card.

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!!

Amy R Sketch #63

***Second Post Today - Yes - you read that right!! LOL****
Scroll Down to see my CAS challenge off Jenn Buck's blog...

Now - if you review my blog, you will find that I am not really a stamper - I am definitely a scrapper! However, I do have "my share" of stamps - and I do look through all the wonderful stamp blogs out there - as they are full of beautiful art and I can often use a card sketch for a scrapbook page. In this particular case - I did use the card sketch for a card.

This card is for my son Devin's birthday. He'll be 7 on Saturday - and I had this BRILLIANT idea (if I do say so myself) for his card - using Amy R's Sketch #63. Take a look:

The pinwheel is made using a QuicKutz 3-D die that came out in February (I think). I got it from CropStop - as I do with ALL of my QK dies. The ribbon is American Crafts, the papers is part of the Apron Strings Designs February kit and is from the Night Light line by October Afternoon and the sentiment is part of the AmyR stamp set Boutique Sentiments. Brads are Doodlebug Sugar Coated - also from CropStop.

I hope you like it - and more than that - I hope Devin likes it!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. Please come back soon - I think my mojo is returning!!
