It's Summertime...

and the living is easy!! LOL I wish!! Working 40 hours a week as usual!!

Anyway...my friend Lesley left me a message on THIS POST (and I link it because it's currently my favorite card and uses the Up, Up & Away Stamps set from Verve - and we think Mojo Monday, we think Verve!) and basically told me I had to do the Mojo Challenge today, so.....who am I to argue?? Here it is - along with a few other challenges thrown in, of course!

Here's the list!

Several people asked for summer - and what says summer more than the sun, the sand, and a sand castle? Thanks to the Mojo Monday sketch, I even have my yellow beach blanket to lay out on, put on my sunglassse and play in the sand with my pail and shovel!
And here's the rest:
  • The sketch is Mojo Monday.
  • Daring Cardmakers asked for weather
  • Paper Make Up asked for clear - the "sentiment" of "You Really Shine" is stamped on acetate. I would have loved to use Paper Make Up stamps, but I don't have any.

I love it when the challenges line up for me!!

Mojo Cupcake!

I really liked the color combination from the 365 Collage today, so I opted for a second card - no wedding theme this time though! I will link it on 365 anyway, because it was an inspiration piece - and this is how my color combination was inspired!

Okay - just a couple of challenges on this one:
  • Obviously, since it's already been stated, it's inspired by today's collage over at 365 Cards.
  • This is this week's Mojo Monday sketch.
That's really all there is on this one - that cute little cupcake - I know you want to know where it comes from - it's from Stamps & Smiles! It's from a set called Happy Birthday Cupcake and it's new as of May!

Color Throwdown meets Mojo Monday!

I have a pretty card to show you today! It's for several challenges - the flower is QuicKutz. The glitter on the flowers edges is called Diamond Dust. I little bit on the chunky side.

Here are the challenges:

That will wrap it up for this one. I will tell you however that I have another card that matches this one, but I just can't show it to you yet!!

Using What You've Got!!

Ann over a Ann's Creative Nook asked for neglected embellishments this week. We should all think about this one. We all run out and buy the latest and greatest, but what about what we have sitting in our stashes? I am as guilty as anybody. So both of these cards will work for Ann's challenge.

Both of these cards were made from an old kit that I used to subscribe to called Scrap Jammies. Everything in the kit was precut, premeasured, etc. for a two page layout - all you had to do was insert the photos - great kit for a beginner scrapbooker. I didn't end up using them as they were meant to be used and I have started cutting them up and making my own stuff - after all - it's already matched, etc - half the work is already done for me - which is a good thing! If you look at most of my cards, these are not supplies I would have normally picked out myself.

Onto the cards...

This first card works for the following:
  • Ann's Creative Nook - neglected embellishments (actually neglected everything - I haven't subscribed to these kits in over 3 years!)
  • The sketch is from Mojo Monday.
  • 365 Cards asked for purple and 5 circles - I have six obvious ones and the two upper panels are made of patterned circle paper. The purple I used is actually lavender. I counted it! :)
  • Fun-Frilled asked for four eyelets (I haven't used eyelets in a while either) Luckily the Mojo sketch had circles right where I placed the eyelets.

This little card is about 4x4 and works for:
As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend.

Mojo Showers

Two more challenges for today! I did that last Double Pocket bag, which actually incorporated six challenges. However, Stamp Something had Flowers or Showers for it's theme and I hadn't inked up this MFT set - Rain or Shine, so I knew I wanted to use it for this theme challenge. The sketch is Mojo Monday #83, which I thought was perfect for the Stamp Something Challenge. So here it is anyway:

I must say I really like that daisy paper and the color combo worked well. I thought it ended up pretty cheery for someone who might be "feeling under the weather".

Thanks again for stopping by! Hope to see you again soon...

Monday, Tuesday and a couple of Sprinkles....

Another double for me!! This is the Mojo Monday Sketch #81 and it's the TCP Tuesday Color Challenge! The color challenge was specifically raspberry pink, pumpkin orange and sunny yellow! I love bright colors - and who doesn't love Sprinkle!

So, the stamp set is The Cat's Pajama's Mod Mod World, flowers are Prima, cardstock from the stash. I don't think you can see it really well, but the yellow cardstock is embossed with the Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder. A few KaiserCraft rhinestones, and the card is done! I do like how it turned out.

Sorry for the short post - spent today at the Children's Hospital with my daughter. I am happy to report that the procedure found nothing wrong with her - but they did do a couple of biopsies that we will know the results of next week. They were also able to rule out a couple of things we were worried about. That being said - I will just say that I am EXHAUSTED! As always, thanks for visiting...and I hope to see you back here tomorrow!
