Project Wednesday???

Okay - I was going to blame this one on blogger - again because my post didn't go up yesterday! After looking, however, I realize that I am to blame and I totally forgot to hit the publish button! That's what I get for trying to do 12 things at the same time!! Anyway - here it is:

This cute little creation is a card with an extra flap that can hold a gift card, etc....thereby making it a card and a gift in one! Pretty ingenious, huh??

But of course, I cannot take credit for it! I followed used a template to make it - which you can find over on the PROJECT TUESDAY BLOG. The paper is Bo Bunny (I think) and I love the way this turned out!

I added the little band to hold it shut and used my QuicKutz die for that big daisy! (One of my favorite dies!)

I left mine blank so I can personalize it for whatever occasion I opt to use it for! CUTE CUTE CUTE!! Be sure to pop over to the Project Tuesday blog and see what all the other members of the Design Team have created for you today!!

TREAT BOX!

Hey everybody!! Time for another Project Tuesday!!

I must apologize because I am feeling very late with this post - but here it is! I think this box is adorable!! It was inspired by Julie Buhler and you can find her tutorial for this gorgeious Treat Box with step-by-step instructions.

It's really easier than it looks! The hardest part is the window and if you have a Coluzzle or other circle cutter that does not go through a die cutting machine, but Julie explains it BRILLIANTLY in her tutorial!!

I actually didn't plan it this way when I started but I had picked out the paper first. It's in the Strange Days kit by mgl Studio (Yes, digital!)...I was then searching for a "prop" to put into and it soooo remind me of M & Ms that I ran to the store to grab some - just for the pictures of course (and yes, that is the story I am sticking with!!)

Be sure to link your creations onto the Project Tuesday blog!! We can't wait to see them!!

Stuffs!

Here are some creations I have done recently, but don't think I have blogged about...and a few announcements that I should have already made but don't think I did - and if I did, and I am repeating myself, please forgive me! LOL

First up - a tumbler! I love making these! They can be done in paper or digital and they're generally pretty quick. This one is made with Shawna Clingerman's Smarty Pants kit, which can be found at Sweet Shoppe Designs - I have just been asked to be a HYBRID ARTIST on her CREATIVE TEAM!!!

Photobucket

This is my first project for her. Here's the tumbler:

And here is the artwork so you can see the full picture at once - it's kind of hard to get photos of the whole tumbler:

Next up is a layout using Flerg's Rough & Tumble Reloaded kit as well as Studio Hillary's template from her White Space #1 Template set. The stitching on this is new from Flerg's - her Crazy Stitches #1 Set - all of which is available at Scrapbook Graphics.

I think I previously announced that I was asked to be part of Studio Hillary's Creative Team, but in case I didn't I figured I would mention it. You might remember the 20 page set I did for her, which is here on the blog if you wanted to take a peek.

If all that wasn't good enough - I have been asked to be part of the STUDIO CREW!!!! This would be the Scrapbook Graphics Site CT!! I am SOOOOO excited!

Photobucket

That is one talented bunch of ladies and I am honored to be among them!!! I will be working on hybrid projects for them and you can catch my post on the blog on the Third Tuesday of every month!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Ziska - Cutie Pie

Hi everybody!! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods! Today I bring you three layouts from Studio Ziska over at Scrapbook Graphics. These three layouts are all made with her Cutie Pie kit. It is actually a very girly kit, but I am glad to say I was able to do one layout with my son for it as well!

This first one is entitled Baby Girl. It uses a template and I actually did it for a Speed Scrap over at Scrap Matters. It was actually done with only one pictures, just cropped differently.

This next one I actually didn't title. I am not 100% sure that layouts always need a title, so every once in a while I throw one in there without one!

An last but certainly not least...Sleepy Boy. This is my son, who fell asleep KNEELING near the couch? How do they do that? But this is my boy layout and still uses this very girl kit! It would probably be easier for a baby and a little more difficult for an older boy, but I think it worked!

I am hoping to give you a BIG announcement tomorrow, so be sure to come back soon!!!

A Dinosaur and a Space Robot....

Sounds like the start of a bad joke, huh? Well - it's not! Just an odd title for a blog post!! Two things for you today - first up - I am still Guest Designer over at The Shoe! And today they have their sketch challenge - here's my take on it!

It uses the new Boom Boom kit from Ziggle Designs. Isn't it just the cutest?!?! And that's my little boy, who fell asleep on the couch. In this picture, although you can't see it - he's actually kneeling on the floor!! It always amazes me how kids can sleep! Be sure to check out what the rest of the Design Team did with the sketch!!

Next up - Ziggle and Geeky Diva again! This time it's a kit called Rocket-Doodle-2 from Ziggle and a new Tag Bag template from Kim over at Geeky Diva! The Rocket-Doodle-2 kit is adorable and perfect for those little boys - no matter what they're doing! The templates for these Tag Bags are perfect for little party favors and is actually a perfect size if you wanted to use it as the "wrap" for a gift card!

So based on this post, here's what you need to do!!
Thanks for stopping by....more for you tomorrow!!

Laugh

I must apologize!! I am SOOOO late posting this!! I had the pictures in the post and was almost finished - did all my linking, etc. and realized I was working on the stuff for MONDAY's post!!! OOPS! Well, at least I hadn't posted it yet!!

Anyway - my apologies to the girls at The Shoe!! Today they're having their color challenge and it's FUSCHIA & LIME! I love the combo, however, finding supplies for it was something else entirely!!

Here's what I came up with:

Totally adore how this layout came out!! Here are the details for it:
  • It's digital - kit used: Bamboozled by Libby W. at SSD
  • Template belongs to Chrissy W - I think...I will verify (It is!!)
  • This layout was actually made for a Speed Scrap over at Scrap Matters! SUCH FUN!!

And that's about it - be sure to run over to If the Shoe Fits and see what the rest of the Design Team did with this color combo!!

Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs

I am excited to bring you today's project! It happens to be my first project for Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs (MOSD). MOSD is a manufacturer of chipboard and acrylic products, as well as several others which I will be showing to you in the coming months! I am thrilled to be part of their Creative Team.

This first project is a frame - and it's "paper work" is digital!! I love that I can combine both sides of my hobby. I love the end result of this project - as did my daughter, who promptly stole it!!

This uses the MOSD Perfect Shaped Chipboard - which comes in MANY different shapes. This is considered a half moon shape. I used a template from BW Scrapbooking- who work hand in hand with MOSD for their shape templates - and it worked perfectly!!

I used a kit called Kiss & Tell from mgl Scraps. It has the most vibrant jewel toned colors I have seen! TOTALLY GORGEOUS!! I will tell you that her kits are definitely worth their price tag! She gives you more elements, papers, etc than I have seen in most kits! LOVE THEM! I feel very honored to be able to be working with her and her creative team!

Be sure to come back tomorrow - new releases from Geeky Diva & Ziggle as well as my challenge for The Shoe!!

MZ Hope by Ziska & mgl Scraps

Well, I am LOVING my time as a Guest Creative Team Member for Studio Ziska. Recently, I was also asked to be a Guest Hybrid Blog Chic for Studio mgl.

This kit/grab bag just came outand it happens to be a collaboration between Ziska and mgl Scraps. It's called MZ HOPE and I have two project for you with this one. First up is a set of four cards. These cards (if I remember correctly are 5" square. I like to think of them as pretty simple. All the "designing" was done on the computer and printed. I cut and adhered to the cardstock and only added the rhinestones in the swirls. I am really liking how they came out.

I also have this layout for you! I did use a template for this (and I will apologize now) as I don't remember who created the template, but I will check and edit so you have the information in case you want it. The rest of it is all MZ Hope.

I will let you know that these were done with a VERY small portion of the grab bag that is currently out. This were made with Ziska's original pieces and she since added other GREAT pieces (can't let the cat out of the bag!) and these show NONE of mgl's portion, but you will see more of this kit very soon - I promise!

And that's it for now! Come back tomorrow - I have my first MOSD project coming up - and it's made for mgl Scraps as well!!

Project Tuesday - Hanging Treat Holder

Welcome to another week at Project Tuesday! I love this week's project! It's cute and easy - and quite useful actually! I can see this one being done for a birthday part or a shower favor or even part of a housewarming or hostess gift!

This week's project is a HANGING TREAT HOLDER. Now, I have made mine for a water bottle, but if you run over to the Project Tuesday blog, you will find that the other members of the Design Team had a few different ideas in mind!

I will just tell you that when I created mine, I created it as the tutorial states, and then cut off 1/2" off the top and 1" off the bottom. I tell you this so that (1) you know in advance and (2) I did it this way so I didn't have to refigure the score lines, etc (Why reinvent the wheel!)

Now - let me tell you about the supplies I used - because once again - I have gone digital!! I love the fact that I can still do everything I always have, just using digital supplies! Anybody who reads here regularly knows that I don't consider myself a stamper! I can do the basics, but beyond that - I really just sit back and admire the people who have mastered the art. With digital - I don't have to sit back! It's done for me! I can pick out an element, resize it, and pretty much use it like a stamped image! I AM LOVING IT!!

Anyway, the reason I bring this up is because I am a GUEST HYBRID CHICK (Yes, that's my official title) over that the mgl Scraps blog right now! She has BEAUTIFUL kits and I am having a lot of fun. This project is made using cardstock from CTMH, my Martha Stewart butterfly punch and the Trap the Spark kit from mgl Scraps!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Pile It On! - No Patterned Paper (OMG)

It's Sunday - and we all know what that means!! A new challenge from the PILE IT ON! blog. Be sure to check out this week's top three and what the FANTABULOUS Design Team created.

And now - for this week's challenge - NO PATTERNED PAPER! I know, I know - don't shoot the messenger - it wasn't my week to set the challenge! LOL However, please remember - you can make your own patterned paper!

This week, we had a sponsor - DIGI STAMP CHARACTER. So I used their adorable little girl image to make my patterned paper. Here's what I came up with:

And here's my "pile":

And that's it for this one! Kind of a small pile, huh? Just goes to show you it doesn't take 10 challenges to make a Pile It On! card!

Thanks for playing with us - I can't wait to see what you create!!

There's a lot to see today!!

Happy Friday everybody!! There sure is a lot going on! There are a bunch of releases over at ScrapOrchard that I have been keeping from you! (of course, that is part of the job! LOL) Anyway, I happen to be on three Creative Teams over at Scrap Orchard and they all have a release this Friday - Amy actually has FOUR! So, here we go!

First up - Jady Day Studio! She has this adorable kit for all your backyard summer fun - with water anyway! It's called Back Yard Splash! IT IS SOOOOOOO cute!! Be sure to head over there and check it out! I used a template on this from Sahlin Studio over at Scrap Matters! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

Next up is Ziggle Designs and Geeky Diva! This would probably be a REALLY good time to tell you that I have been asked to be on BOTH of these CREATIVE TEAMS!!! WOOO HOOO!!

This particular invitation is for both of their releases today! The kit for Ziggle (available today over at ScrapOrchard) and is called BOOM BOOM. It has the CUTEST dinosaurs you have ever seen! There are several others - they obviously wouldn't all fit on this one invitation - and that adorable stone age alphabet is in the kit too!! The papers are GORGEOUS colors - nice the bright!

The template for this is by Geeky Diva and is being released today over at Scrap Matters. It's in a set called The Honor of your Presence. It has several invitation templates, several card layouts and even comes with the word art! It's a GREAT set! Be sure to run over there and pick this one up!

Next up - the biggest project today - is a CD Calendar! I LOVE the way this calendar came out. The template set is once again by Geeky Diva (I had actually bought this before she invited me to be on her Creative Team) and all the papers and elements are being released today over at ScrapOrchard by LCC by Amy Stoffel. These kits are collaborations with Jen Yurko.

The kits are called Flavors of Life: Summer. You can buy them all together or separately. The four kits are: Blueberry Grape Smoothie, Cherry Lime-ade (which I think is my favorite), Raspberry Lemon Zinger and Strawberry Orange Crush and are all available today over at ScrapOrchard. I would recommend getting all four!! They are SOOOO versatile and CUTE too!

And last, but certainly not least, another invitation using The Honor of Your Presence by Geeky Diva and Sunken Garden by Studio Ziska!

This would be a very elegant invitation for a wedding. The colors and papers in the Sunken Garden kit are GORGEOUS! I just created the invitation using the Geeky Diva templates, printed it, mounted it onto kraft cardstock and added the ribbon at the top! Just gorgeous (If I do say so myself), simple, easy and quick!!

I'm not really sure if I can say "that's it" for today - I am thinking it's a LOT!!!
Thanks for stopping by - there definitely won't be as much to see tomorrow!

Pretty Scrappy

A new month!! Okay, so we're already into the month and I am just a little slow with the announcment! LOL Anyway, that means a whole new bunch of kits to play with over at Pretty Scrappy!!

This first layout - entitled COLOR - uses a kit called Scrap It, Snap it by ValerieN Designs. I didn't even touch on all the elements and papers that are included in this kit! There's SOOO much more! I did use a template on this layout from Studio Hillary.

The journaling tells about my daughter's VERY FIRST PAYCHECK and she wanted a mini computer and ordered it in PURPLE. Just so happened - it matched her toenail polish!

Next layout - DEVIN - uses the Live, Laugh, Love kit by Designs by Angel. It is actually a kit about autism and has many of the autism puzzle pieces included. It's a very cute kit whether your child is autistic or not. As Devin is not, I opted not to use the puzzle pieces for his layout - but would you look at that tree?!?!?

I LOVE this layout! The kit is by Valarie Ostrom Designs and is called GIRL TALK! It is a perfect kit for the girls in your life! I would say not your youngest little girls, but a little bit older! Here you see my daughter and her best friend about two years ago! It's one of my favorite pictures of the two of them. The template - which I just ADORE - is from Sahlin Studio.

And last, but certainly not least - Little Miss Sassy (that would definitely be my daughter!) and although she doesn't look overly sassy in this photo - her shirt matched the paper, so I went with it! ROFL

Anyway - this is the Pretty Scrappy August Collab and it's HUGE!!! Who you see here is not even the tip of th iceberg!! It's called Drama Queen (a female to last month's Drama King).

The font at the bottom is called You Are Loved and I believe it came from dafont.com.

And that's what Pretty Scrappy looked like for me this month! Stayed tuned - there's A LOT of stuff to see tomorrow.

As a teaser - new releases - Jady Day Studio, LCC by Amy Stoffel, Ziggle Designs & Geeky Diva...but sssshhhhhhh! it's a secret!!

Sunken Garden - for Ziska!

I am loving being a Guest Member for Studio Ziska's Creative Team!! I did these two layouts with a kit called Sunken Garden and you can find it over at Scrapbook Graphics. Both were done using templates. The Sophomore Dance template is from Little Dreamer Designs from Michelle Filo and they're called Playing with Paper. I just love templates!!

This second one uses a template I found as a freebie. It's buy Christine Brown Designs. I LOVE this template! It is SOOOOO unique!!

I will have at least one more layout for you using Sunken Garden - especially since it's almost done!! This kit is VERY elegant! It would be lovely for wedding photos. Anyway, thanks for stopping by! Be sure to come back soon, there's always more to see!!

Project Tuesday - Gable Box

It's Tuesday - and you know what that means!! Another fun project for you over at the Stamps & Smiles Project Tuesday blog! Today we are doing a Gable Box, and you can find the instructions HERE.

This is a CUTE little project and it was quick and EASY! You need to run on over to the Project Tuesday blog and see what the other girls did!! Here's mine:

If you read my blog regularly, you know I am all about Digi right now and this project is no different! It was made using digital papers from Studio Ziska, where I am currently a guest on her Creative Team! This kit is called Playtime.

Just one other challenge to go with Project Tuesday today and that's for Daring Cardmakers who asked for bling/sparkle.

My Month at The Shoe!

Good morning!! Hope everything is well in your neck of the woods!! It's August and I am the Guest Designer over at If the Shoe Fits, Scrap It! They have challenges ever Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so be sure to stop by and see them! The Monday challenge is always a sketch, and this is my take on it!

Here's the sketch:

As many of you know - I am now deep into digital! And I am truly loving it! Might make me give up paper scrapping altogether, but we will see!

This layout was made using a kit call Get Your Happy On by LCC by Amy Stoffel. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors in this kit. The alphabet is actually from her I'm This Many kit and both can be found over at ScrapOrchard. The font is by Darcy Baldwin and is called Angel Baby.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to head over to The Shoe and see what the rest of the girls have to show you!!
