Celebrating Fathers...

Well, Father's Day is around the corner and all the challenge blogs are helping you get your cards done. Here's another Father's Day card for me! I am loving my owls lately - I will move on to another "phase" soon!

This little guy is a Revolution Quickutz die and the branch is a QK border die. Since I was only using part of the branch, I was able to cut both out using my CuttleBug machine.

And here are the challenges I managed to make this Owl work for:

So just one from me today! I was going to hit bed early tonight, and it's already 10:35 - so much for that! Thanks for stopping by!

A bunch of cards...

and I have to tell you I am not in love with any of them. My mojo is just not working very well tonight, but they're not bad, but all quite simple and cute. I am just not thinking "spectacular" today. But since I know we are all our own worst critics and I don't HATE them...here they are! And to my surprise, some of them are one challenge cards.

This first one is for 365 Cards - they asked for veggies on a card. My only salvation on this one is I went to the stamp store today and asked "do you have any paper with vegetables on it?" and this is why I got! It's by Flair Designs and I really do think this one came out pretty cute. This is also an anniversary card - which was requested by If the Shoe Fits. I forgot to take the photo of the inside, which says "Anniversary Wishes". (One of my Verve sets!) And of course this one also works for the PILE IT ON Challenge - as it has a Non-Stamped Sentiment!

This one is for Lesley! She challenged me to do the Color Challenge over at SCS this week. It was a one layer white card. You were allowed to use ONE other color and no other colored cardstock. This is the one that really reminds me that I am not a stamper! It's really all purple, although I think the ribbon kind of looks black. It's really a true purple. (And Lesley - I want you to know this is like the 6th variation - I won't mention the one that I was almost finished with and stamped the sentiment upside-down!!!)

This is for the 365 Cards Color challenge to use BOLD colors of red, blue, green, orange and yellow! Lucky for me, I had this school pad from DCWV. And you can't see it in the photos, but some of those apples are all sparkly.

Last but certainly not least - my Thanks! Owl. This one is for the Color Throwdown today and is also for Jen's SFYTT. The owl, however, I can't take any credit for. My friend Dalis had made THIS card, and I loved it -but she wouldn't part with it. What she did do, however, was send me four of these cute little owls as a "print". I assume she scanned her card and somehow wiped out everything but the owl. Don't know for sure - she's the computer wizard!

I am going to go back to the scrap table and see if I can't find some mojo! I have one more card to make that HAS to be made tonight...so I am gonna think on that one!

Thanks for stopping by!

Two more cards...several more challenges

I have two cards to show you tonight! They both represent a couple of challenges. I very rarely do a card for only one challenge and these are no exception!! This first one hits three!

This lovely pink & brown card is for the following:
  • 365 requested something musical. Now this was kind of a challenge. I read it first thing this morning so I was able to think. I remembered the Verve stamp about half way through the day. (I love Verve sentiments!) So then I just needed to find something musical. I will thank Patter Cross on this one!! These musical chipboard pieces were part of the candy I won a few weeks back on Triple the Sketch's One Year Anniversary!
  • The second challenge it is for is Card*a*licious. They requested pink, brown & scallops. I hit all three with this one. Good thing too, since that was the challenge!
  • Lastly, it is Jen's SFYTT. I saw the sketch this week and wanted to try it. This worked perfectly.

Now this card hits two challenges:
  • This is for Kazan's 2 Sketches 4 U #26. It's been a while since I have played over at 2 Sketches. It's actually upside down.
  • It is also for the Scrap Schemes. They have a beautiful inspiration piece up on their site. You should go check it out!

And that's all for these two cards! I will definitely be back with more tomorrow - possibly even tonight! Don't forget to check out the BLOG CANDY on THIS POST!!

Jen's SFYTT - Easter Style

I have to admit, when I first saw this sketch, I wasn't sure I was going to like it. But as I planned in my head, I was lovin' it! Seriously lovin' it! So, being that it's Easter, and it's also a challenge to make an Easter Card over on the Creative Card Crew blog, I had to be quick (hence the plan ahead) and made this cute card for my MIL for today.

Not too many details on this one, pretty self explanatory. PP is BoBunny and flowers are Prima. The Easter Wishes sentiment is PaperTrey Ink. That's it! Have a good holiday everybody - and as always, thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog today!

And of course I said it in the title, but this is the SFYTT over at Jen's blog.
