I found Ashley's blog called Heart Hugs Designs. They do Etsy Inspired challenges. Now this is the first time I have participated in any Etsy Inspired Challenged but I just LOVED the inspiration!
The artist's name is Lauren Alexander and she does beautiful work - I love it all!! I am thinking about actually going back to her shop and buying a few of the prints inspired by her work. Her is the print that I chose as my inspirational piece:
I love everything about it - yellow is my favorite color and if you couldn't tell from my blogs - I just LOVE all the birds that are out there! Below is the card I made based on the artwork - which is called "Better Together".
I needed to capture all that yellow! Those are the smallest Prima flowers out there (I think anyway - I can't see them getting much smaller than that!!) I ran them through my little 'X' Xyron sticker machine and layered them on there. The larger flowers were in the stash - I don't know who makes them. The birds were made from a QuicKutz die. I marker-inked the stamp, so I could but part of the sentiment on the front and the other part inside the card. The whole sentiment, as I am sure you can guess, reads: "A little bird told me that it was your birthday." I have had this stamp for a while, but this is the first time I got it inky!
I really like the way the card came out - I think I capture it as much as I could - although I still like the original artwork better! I am really thinking of going back to her store and picking up this particular print.
As always - thank you for visiting.
