SBG & Project Tuesday

Hello everybody out there in blog-land!! If you have visited my blog before, you know I have a love of combining stuff. Well, when I did this little project, I wasn't trying to, it just kind of fell into my lap - gotta love it when that happens!!

I had actually originally made this little project for my very FIRST post as part of the SCRAPBOOK GRAPHICS STUDIO CREW! I will be doing a hybrid post over there the third Tuesday of every month, so be sure to stop by!!



This also happens to be this week's Project Tuesday!! It is a mini-birthday book. A place to keep all those dates you don't want to forget that take place on the same date every year.



There is actually a tutorial & template that can be found HERE. I, however, did mine a little bit differently. Mine is digital - done using a digital template from Studio Wendy at Scrapbook Graphics that can be found HERE.





In the end, the result is the same - you end up with an ADORABLE mini perpetual calendar that keeps all your birthdays, anniversaries and some holidays all in one easy place. Mine is 4.25" x 5.5" (actually I think it's a bit smaller after I printed it, but...) All papers and elements that I used were from Baers Garten and can also be found at Scrapbook Graphics.

It can easily be hung on a key rack, a hook, even a refrigerator magnet - depending on what you use to "bind" it of course! Mine is held together with a simple ring and decorated with ribbons.

Project Tuesday - Flower Pot Box

Welcome once again to Project Tuesday!!

This week we have been challenged to create a flower pot box. You can find the tutorial by following this link. You will need to print out the template on cardstock. It's really a quick little project and didn't take long to make at all! I often look at them thinking they're going to take a lot of time and they NEVER do! I think just filled my cello bag with Hershey kisses and I now have a great little gift for somebody! (not sure who yet!!)

Mine was made using white cardstock, my papers and elements were done digitally using the IN THE MEADOW kit, which is a collab between mgl Scraps & Sugarplum Paperie. It's got some really cute elements in it!

The Fresh Batch!

Hey there everybody!! It's Thursday - and you know what that means! Another sketch for the Fresh Batch to work on! And we definitely have a Fresh Batch this week - so be sure to stop by the Stamps & Smiles blog and check them out!! We have a NEW FANTABULOUS Sketch Artist this week - DALIS!!! She drew us a fabulous sketch - which you can see HERE. This is my take on it!

Project Tuesday - Pull Treat

It's Tuesday!! You know what that means?!?! Project Tuesday!!! This week, we have a Pull Treat for you, you can find the instructions ---------> HERE.

This is a really cute idea - quick and easy and you don't even need to untie the bow to get the chocolate out! Just pull up on the ribbons and the chocolate comes with it!! Be sure to check over at the Project Tuesday blog to see the FANTABULOUS creations from the rest of the Design Team.


This project has also been done in digital! The kit is called Chocolate Mint and you can find it at Stuff to Scrap.

It's Sunday people!! That means a new challenge from PILE IT ON!! This week's challenge is to use WATERCOLORING on your project. Now I want it to be known that I am NOT a stamper! However, I also didn't set the challenge this week - my partner in crime Dalis did!

Party Favor anyone???

Happy Saturday everybody! Who wants to party?!?!? Okay, so we're not really going to party, we just going to talk about party favors. LOL

Okay - first one up - another sour cream favor (yes, they're a "thing" right now)...they also happen to be this week's project over at the Project Tuesday blog!

Today's favor is to talk about today's Heart Hugs Etsy Inspired Challenge. The shop today is called Artistic Flair, and you can find my inspirational piece HERE. They make all sorts of art pieces out of stained glass!

I also must say at this point that I have had a lot of fun being on the Etsy Inspired Team for the month of July! This is my last project as their Guest Designer and all the girlson the DT have been great!! Be sure to stop by their blogs as well as the Heart Hugs blog and play along!!



This piece is mostly digital!! It comes from the July Collab over at Pretty Scrappy and is called Drama King. This kit is HUGE!! Great for the young boys in your life!

Next up....Danielle Corbitt Designs. Saturday is Hybrid Day over at the Starlets blog, and here is my project that will be featured.

These are three simple party favors that can be made quickly and easily! There's my current sour cream container favorite favor, then the other two are just wraps - I used the JUMBO Reese's peanut butter cup and one of the snack sized Hershey bars. You will see they all have the same scalloped tag on them, which says - Thanks for Coming. All of these were made using the Birthday Bash kit over at Danielle Corbitt Designs, which is available HERE. Of course, if you spend $10 in the store, you get it FREE!


And last - a layout to go with those cute little party favors. I am finally getting around to scrapping more and I am loving it! When I started papercrafting, all I did was scrap. Then I got around to making cards, now I am going digital! Although you will be seeing a lot of stuff from me (cards, etc) using my digital papers now - they're interchangeable you know!



Once again I used Danielle Corbitt's Birthday Bash kit and I also a template and "paper cutters" to make this layout! All those numbers on the side where made using a special clipping mask....isn't it great!! Both the template and clipping mask are made by Chrissy W Digitals.

Sweet Pea & Itty Bitty Gourmet

It's release day at the Orchard!!! LCC by Amy Stoffel has two ADORABLE kits coming out and you can purchase them now!!

First up is a layout that uses Hi Sweet Pea and it is the CUTEST baby kit you would ever see! Soft pastels, and bunches of cute little pea faces! You can purchase it HERE.



How about a little shower favor? Easy to customize and cute as can be! This also uses Hi Sweet Pea. This also happens to be this weeks project over at the Project Tuesday blog!


Next up - a couple of bag tags - digi style! I know you have seen me do bag tags before but there are my first digital ones - LOVE THEM!! Obviously going digital, there's much less bulk to them which is good! Both of these use the new LCC by Amy Stoffel kit called ITTY BITTY GOURMET! It's full of fruits, veggies, baby food jars, spoons - you name it - it's in there! And done in Amy's OH SO CUTE style!!

Project Tuesday - Sour Cream Container

It's Tuesday and we all know what that means!! It means it's time for the newest project on the Project Tuesday blog! But first - I have an announcement to make!

I am the new Hybrid Artist over at Stuff to Scrap!

I have been loving digital and applying and have been VERY LUCKY to have landed on a couple of teams! The ladies over at Stuff to Scrap are VERY FRIENDLY so be sure to check them out! It's easy as pie to print out your papers at home and make the same items you do with the paper you purchase as the scrap stores!

Okay - back to Project Tuesday...

I am actually your host this month and today's project is this cute little Sour Cream container. You can find the instructions HERE! It's a VERY quick project and would be perfect for party favors, shower favors or even a quick little thank you or pick-me-up to leave on a co-workers desk.

The papers I used on this project are from a Stuff To Scrap kit called Splattered News. It's a fun kit for the teen girls in your life (I would say that's who it's most appropriate for anyway).

Project Tuesday - Ghiradelli Box

Hello out there in blogland! How are you doing today?? Guess what?? It's Tuesday and that means - Project Tuesday! Today we are making a Ghiradelli Box - and if you go over to the Stamps & Smiles Project Tuesday blog, you will not only see it will hold more than just Ghiradelli chocolate squares, you will also meet a new member of the Project Tuesday team!



Now I did my closure a little bit different than what you will find in the tutorial. I used my Fiskars Threading Water (I think that's what it's called) punch and threaded my ribbon through the holes and tied it into that nice big bow!



I like the way it came out, if I do say so myself!!

Etsy Inspired -

Hi Again! It's Saturday and it's July - that means I am continuing my guest design stint over at Heart Hugs for the Etsy Inspired Challenge. This week's shop is Verbena Custom Blends and they make specialty soaps (feel like I'm at work! Christmas In July

Project Tuesday - Bag Tag

Hello and Happy Tuesday!!! Once again - that means PROJECT TUESDAY!!

**ETA** Okay, it's really Wednesday - all I can say is it is currently not safe to trust the blogger pre-post option. :)

Our challenge this week is to create a BAG TAG. All you need is a badge holder with hinged rings, both of which are available at a local office supply store. Cut your cardstock to fit inside and decorate. Lastly add your ribbon - extra holes may need to be added depending on how much ribbon you want to add.



I made this one for my son Devin using a cute Crayon stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps. I got it as a single stamp and I really think it was just $1!! It will go on his backpack in September for easy identification! I love these and have made several and placed them on kids bags, luggage (although they don't travel all that well) and they're a great extra fora Baby gift - for that big ol' diaper bag.

There's a new sketch out today over at the Stamps & Smiles blog! (Well there will be tomorrow morning, but since blogger is wonky on the pre-posting, I opted to post early). Every Thursday you can find a new FANTABULOUS sketch from our Sketch Artist - Mercy!

It's TUESDAY!!

And I assume you all know what that means...it's time for this week's Project Tuesday challenge!! This week it's an A2 CARD BOX. I can tell you it was quick and simple and you don't have to make the cards, but I did and used a simple little recipe and the whole project - including the cards - was done in LESS THAN AN HOUR! The box itself probably took less than 20 minutes.

I will see if I can remember to get an inside photo up soon. I did - however - hit the animal part with GUSTO!! Each of the 6 cards has a different animal on it - there's a bunny, bird, owl, deer, frog and I forget the last one! LOL

PILE IT ON! - Challenge #4 - BUTTON UP!

This week the new challenge for PILE IT ON is....

USE FOUR OR MORE BUTTONS in your project...and as usual - AT LEAST one other challenge!

• Stamps and Smiles Tuesday Sketch - since I turned the sketch into a layout - this is obviously a VERY loose interpretation, but I just wanted to show you how versatile sketches are and that even if it doesn't look exactly like the sketch, it was inspirational!
  
• 365 Cards - Day 118 - You've Been Framed - now I might be cheating on this one because as we all know that 365 is about cards and this is a layout, but.....who cares? lol (My friend Gloria cheats on her 365 challenges all the time, so.....LOL - she's going to love reading that!!!)
  
• Charisma Cardz stated to create ANYTHING you wanted this week, no theme, no restrictions, so....here's mine!
• Scrap, Inspire, Create asked us to celebrate PARENTHOOD. The funny story behind this layout is that my daughter and her boyfriend Jimmy were gathering all the kids - mine and Jimmy's mother's to go have pictures taken for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, they had a bank account issue and were unable to have them taken. Since they were pretty much dressed and ready to go, I grabbed my camera and did the photos myself!! These are the three separate photos I took of each of my three children.
• Use It - I am going to claim this one! They asked for something inspired by nature - which would be the flowers, polka dots - which I have, favorite embellishment - I have used several different "embellishments" and to mail it to someone special (I am just wondering if email counts here??)

There's one more thing I have to tell you about my creation today - which could break many rules for some challenge blogs - It's DIGITAL! I have been playing in the digital world and LOVING IT!!! I have always been a scrapbooker and if you had told me a year ago that I would be make 5-10 cards every week instead of scrapbook pages, I would have told you that you were LOONEY! But here I am, making card after card (except this week - I was a very bad, lazy crafter! LOL) and NOT pages to go into my albums! Well, I had been thinking of trying digital for quite a while and since I had a program on my computer, I thought - HECK, why not?? So I started into the digital world!

So be on the look out for more digital and non-digital creations - and ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Stamps & Smiles #20

Once again I decided to combine the Stamps & Smiles sketch with this week's Project Tuesday! The stamps is from Stamps & Smiles CuppyLand set. I think this came out SOO cute! This would be so perfect for a favor for a shower or a little girl's birthday party!

It's PROJECT TUESDAY!

Today's project is a One-Sheet Box. I had never done one of these, but I can tell you it came together quickly - about 20 minutes for me! I thought of a few details later - I could have done this, I should have done that...but in the end, I figured it was probably going to have to travel, so I stayed with simple and streamlined - which if you know me, is pretty much my normal anyway!



I opted for patterned paper for the actual box/bag. When you see the instructions, you will understand what I mean, but it's all folded - no cutting involved (unless you start with a 12x12 sheet of paper as opposed to 8.5 x 11). Anywho, the instructions I believe say cardstock and stamp - if you know me, I do not consider myself a stamper, so patterned paper worked perfectly! This PP happens to be Doodlebug, the cardstock in the layers is CTMH and the stamp is Unity. The dew drops were purchased at CropStop.com and I got the ribbon at my LSS in their "clearance - aka end of the roll" bin.




Also, I have been able to combine this with a few other things going on in blogland (aka CHALLENGES!!)

• Project Tuesday - obviously!
• Pile It On! - use purple - any shade, any amount
• Stamp Something - black & white with one other color

Thursday is Stamps & Smiles Day!!

Now here's one BRIGHT little card! (yes - that was a warning!) This card is for this week's Stamps & Smiles sketch - brought to us by our own Mercy Kerin!


I just ADORE this little rainbow out of the CuppyLand set! Actually I love all the images in the CuppyLand set - you will see more soon! The sentiment, also from Stamps & Smiles looks a little funky here - but in person it's all sparkly!! I stamped it in black and then went over it with my Stardust pen for the sparkle. I also used a trio of Doodlebug brads and some Diamond Dust on the cloud!

Project Tuesday - Tea Bag Holder

I don't like tea. I figured I should say that up front. So when it came to making this cute little tea bag holder for Project Tuesday, I had to come up with something else to go in it because once again - I don't like tea! So I said to myself "Self, what do you like?" The answer - CHOCOLATE! So I figured I should tell you that Ghiradelli chocolate squares fit very nicely into this tea bag holder. It's a little "stuffed" but definitely worth it! I suppose you could adjust the size slightly if you don't want it to look stuffed, but I did not.






Now normally I don't combine my Design Team work with other challenges, but this week I did. So....here are the details!

• Project Tuesday - obviously! Very cute and it's VERY EASY so give it a try!
  
• Use It! - pink, scallops and a tag. Which is why I combined this week - it was perfect for the Project Tuesday challenge!
• Caardvarks asked for a 3-D item this week. I am thinking this qualifies as 3-D!
  

The stamps on the front tag from Stamps & Smiles and all the papers came from an Apron Strings Design kit I had in my stash. You should check both of them out too!!
